DURBAN - The Hawks intend to charge a Durban police officer for crimes relating to the 2021 unrest.
He was caught using a hijack victim’s bank card.
The card belongs to the mother of 11-year-old Zarah Ramsamy, who was killed when hijackers drove over her during their getaway.
Constable Minenhle Makhaye had 272 other cards in his possession during the arrest, the bulk of which were confirmed to have been stolen when KwaMashu’s Bridge City mall was looted and torched.
