WATCH | DA challenging Eskom's tariff hike request

JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance has started a petition to challenge Eskom's request for a 36% hike in electricity tariffs.

The party has also been given the green light for a debate in Parliament on the matter.

This follows reports that Eskom is planning to ask the National Energy Regulator for increases for the 2026 and 2028 financial years.
