WATCH | Cholota has means to evade trial if granted bail - State

JOHANNESBURG - The State argues that Moroadi Cholota has established a base and a network to be able to survive outside the borders of South Africa.

In opposing her bail application in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court, the State says Cholota has been out of the country since 2020 and is capable of surviving without seeing her child or family members.

Her bail application hearing has been postponed to later this week.

The former personal assistant to Free State Premier Ace Magashule faces fraud, corruption and money laundering charges linked to the R255m asbestos project.

eNCA's Siphamandla Goge has all the details.
