JOHANNESBURG - Mayor of Govan Mbeki Municipality Nhlakanipho Zuma, has rubbished reports, that donor money meant for a distressed family ended up in the town's coffers.
This follows the collapse of the sale of a Bethal property worth R700,000.
The house was meant to be bought for the Mkhonza family, whose twin boys suffer from a rare skin disease worsened by their current living conditions.
Reports claimed that the ANC in the municipality had reneged on the initial terms in the offer to purchase, lowering the amount to just R350,000.
