Veteran actress Connie Chiume passes away aged 72

JOHANNESBURG - Veteran actress Connie Chiume has passed away at the age of 72.

The star of 'Black Panther' died in hospital.

Chiume has graced our screens for more than three decades.

She started her career in theatre and later became a household name on mainstream television.

Chiume was well known for her role as Mamokete in 'Rhythm City', and appeared as Mama Sonto in 'Gomora'.
