VBS Heist | Ramaphosa seeks explanation from Justice Minister on VBS allegations

JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa has requested a report from Justice Minister, Thembi Simelane.

This after media reports linked her to monies alleged to have been received improperly from the VBS Mutual Bank during her tenure as Mayor of Polokwane Municipality.

She is alleged to have used a commercial loan of over R500,000 to purchase a coffee shop in Sandton.

Meanwhile, ActionSA has called for an independent investigation to be conducted into revelations around Simelane.
