UPDATE | Seven pupils among eight dead in KZN crash

DURBAN - Seven children and one adult are confirmed to have died in a horrific crash on the N2 highway near Mandeni.

One person has been critically injured.

IPSS Medical Rescue says the crash involved a truck and taxi.

The taxi was ferrying schoolchildren.

Emergency services are still on the scene and the highway has been closed in both directions.
