UPDATE | At least 6 pupils die in bus and train crash in Mpumalanga

MIDDLEBURG - At least 6 pupils have died, and 20 others were injured in a horrific accident between a scholar transport bus and a train on the R104 road outside Middelburg in Mpumalanga.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but it's understood a bus driver was attempting to cross a railway line when the accident happened.

Last month, 12 pupils died in Carletonville after a tragic car crash involving scholar transport.
