JOHANNESBURG - Underworld figure Mark Lifman has been assassinated.<
It's believed that Lifman was shot dead outside the Garden Route Mall in George around midday on Sunday.
According to witnesses, Lifman was walking towards his vehicle when he was confronted by a person who fired several shots at him.
Lifman is on trial, along with a number of organised crime figures in the Western Cape.
