JOHANNESBURG - Municipal workers union Samwu says it will not renegotiate the 2021 salary agreement.
Tshwane workers have been striking for weeks after the city reneged on the deal.
They're demanding a 5.4 percent pay increase while the metro has cried bankruptcy.
But, speaking on Power To Truth with JJ Tabane, Samwu insists the money is available.
Tshwane mayor Cilliers Brink has admits disputing parties may have talked past each other.
The SA Local Government Bargaining Council ordered the metro to pay up, but they've appealed the decision.
Brink says the vast majority of Tshwane workers are back at work.
