Tributes pour in for former Finance Minister Tito Mboweni
JOHANNESBURG - The Duke of Magoebaskloof has shared his last meal with us.
Former Reserve Bank Governor and Finance Minister Tito Mboweni has died at the age of 65.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has paid tribute to Mboweni, praising him for his leadership.
He was lauded from championing economic transformation and labour rights.
The ANC has also praised his sacrifice for the struggle as a student activist in Turfloop and while in exile.
SAFTU General Secretary Zwelinzima Vavi said he helped change the face of the labour market in South Africa.
"We are saddened by his sudden passing," Vavi said.
GOOD leader Patricia de Lille said Mboweni was a good leader.
"He lived for his country and gave everything," she said.
