JOHANNESBURG - While on a Transnet Freight rail tour, the coach ferrying officials and media had to stop for a while due to cable theft on the rail line they were traveling.
The incident comes as Transnet says a lot of its efforts are being put on rehabilitating some of its corridors due to vandalism and cable theft.
Transnet has been hit hard over the years as a result of vandalism and cable theft.
The SOE says it is working with the National Logistics Crisis Committee to find ways to protect its corridors and railway lines.
