CAPE TOWN - Tertuis Simmers has been elected as the DA's new Western Cape leader.
Simmers went head to head with Bonginkosi Madikizela in the hotly contested elective congress.

He says his top priority is to ensure the DA remains in control of the Western Cape after next year's elections.
"We have a clear battle plan for next year's election and that plan is to ensure that we remain the governing party," he said.
