CAPE TOWN - Santaco in the Western Cape is backing the call from Transport Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga for impounded minibus taxis to be released.
The organisation has once again condemned acts of violence, which cast a shadow over their seven-day stay away.
The taxi bosses say it's regrettable the industry has been placed at the centre of the violence, which has led to five deaths so far.
There is still no update on talks between the provincial transport bosses and taxi leaders aimed at resolving their impasse.
