JOHANNESBURG - Special Investigating Unit head, Andy Mothibi, says bribery and corruption have become endemic at various Home Affairs Refugee Reception Centres.
The SIU raided all the centres across five provinces on Friday.
Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi and Mothibi led the operations in Pretoria.
Motsoaledi says the nationwide raids at Centres are an emergency.
For years there have been concerns of systemic bribery and corruption allegations at ports of entry.
