NGQAMAKHWE, EASTERN CAPE - Transcending praise poetry and singing in her unique way made her an international brand in the arts and music industries.
But Jessica Mbangeni will also be remembered for being a larger than life icon who has given women from South Africa's rural communities renewed hope of making a success of their careers.

Her funeral service was held in Ngqamakhwe, in the Eastern Cape on Saturday.
She died aged 47 following a short illness.
