JOHANNESBURG - The ANC says it was only a matter of time before President Cyril Ramaphosa signed the Expropriation Act.
The party has denied leaving GNU partners in the dark about its plans for the new law.
Party Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula has warned ministers that it is their job to implement Acts once they have been signed.
Meanwhile, DA leader John Steenhuisen says the ANC failed to honour the GNU agreement and statement of intent.
This is as the BELA, NHI and Expropriation Bills were signed into law amid much dissent.
The passing of these acts has been at the centre of conflict among the GNU partners, who hold vastly differing views.
Minister of Public works and Infrastructure, Dean Macpherson says Act is unconstitutional.
Macpherson says he and other DA members found out through social media that the Act had been signed into law.
He says he had advised the President to reconsider the legislation.
