JOHANNESBURG - The SA Weather Service has issued a yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms in Gauteng and five other provinces.
They've also warned that there's a risk of localised flooding, which could cause significant disruption in some provinces.
The public is also urged to monitor and pay attention to regular weather updates and warnings.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged not to try to cross rivers or streams which are already flooded.
Heavy rainfall is expected to ease on Tuesday but could still linger over KwaZulu-Natal, eSwatini and the lowveld regions of Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
