JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg Water has closed reservoir outlets across the city to balance water systems.
This is as heatwave conditions persist, with very little rain in recent days.
The water utility is urging residents to use water sparingly and observe Level 1 water restrictions.
That means you cannot water your garden between 6am and 6pm.

The areas that may not have water include Diepsloot, Riverside View, Hursthill, Crosby, parts of Soweto, Berea, Alexander, Orange Farm, Ennerdale and Lawley.
Lenesia in the South of Johannesburg will also be throttled.
Gauteng Premier summons stakeholders to resolve Joburg water crisis
At the same time, Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi, says he's concerned about the ongoing water crisis in parts of Johannesburg.
Lesufi says he's asked stakeholders to meet in order to resolve the issue before the end of the week.
