JOHANNESBURG - Water and Sanitation Minister Senzo Mchunu says progress has been made in addressing water and sanitation challenges in Emfuleni Municipality.
He and other cabinet ministers accompanied President Cyril Ramaphosa to the city to assess service delivery.
Mchunu says while a lot more can still be done, the situation has improved compared to last year.
He added that an agreement is underway for Rand Water to take over as the service provider for Emfuleni Municipality.
Mchunu says this will help address water challenges there.
