'Selfie' mineworker murder case postponed

WESTONARIA - The Sibanye-Stillwater miner accused of murdering a colleague will apply for bail on Thursday.

Bionehelo Lefefa appeared briefly at the Westonaria magistrate's court on Monday morning.

The case caught the public's attention after Lefafa posted a selfie with the deceased's intestines exposed.

While the motive is yet to be confirmed, it’s believed it was all related to a workplace dispute.

The deceased allegedly assaulted Lefafa, injuring him in the eye.

After numerous attempts to get justice, it's understood that no action was taken by the company.

Sibanye-Stillwater has not commented on claims around disciplinary processes involving the two.
