SA's road carnage | Bakkie driver in scholar transport crash granted bail

JOHANNESBURG - The driver of the bakkie involved in an accident that killed 11 pupils in Carletonville, appeared in court on Thursday.

Gert van Emmenis has been granted bail of R20,000, and will be back in court on 15 October.

He missed last week's appearance as he was still recovering in hospital.

He faces charges of culpable homicide.
