JOHANNESBURG - Over 2,000 residents of a building in Kensington, east of Johannesburg, have been evicted.

They were kicked out for not paying rent.

But the residents say they only stopped paying as the landlord was not paying municipal bills.

It's believed he owes City Power around R9-million.
