SA’s broken infrastructure | Collapsed road network drives tourists away

CHINTSA EAST - Coastal towns in the Eastern Cape should be a mecca for tourism.

The province is famous for beautiful, unique and dramatic landscapes.

But many areas on the Wild Coast are seeing fewer and fewer visitors, and the problems are not new.

The roads are terrible, and the overall deterioration is putting people off from visiting the province.

Many of the roads in these coastal areas have been neglected for many years and some ratepayer associations are taking it upon themselves to fix potholes.
