JOHANNESBURG - SAA Pilots are on strike.
This after failed wage negotiations, with their union demanding a 30-percent pay increase.
The airline, however, is sticking to its proposed 8-percent raise.
The pilots’ demands also revolve around better working conditions and employment conditions.
SAA interim CEO, Professor John Lamola, has described the airline pilots' salary strike as unnecessary and irresponsible.
The pilots downed tools on Thursday after months-long negotiations reached a stalemate.
