SA at risk of losing over 13 000 megawatts - Report

JOHANNESBURG - Eskom's power supply crisis is continuing on a downward spiral.

This is contained in a six-hundred page report by a group of German experts, who were commissioned to investigate the poor performance at power stations by National Treasury.

The report reveals that the country could lose around 13-thousand-megawatts of energy from the grid if critical repairs aren't done. 

Energy expert Ruse Moleshe says additional electricity capacity and generation is needed to avoid a total blackout.
