JOHANNESBURG - The Swartland Municipality in the Western Cape is evacuating Riverlands residents again following more flooding in the area.
The Water and Sanitation Department has been doing work on the 4th dam.
They had slowly released water to minimise the risk of flooding.
The Municipality had warned the department against intervention and advised to rather wait for the summer months and drier conditions.
However, water then escaped too quickly from a spillway, resulting in more flooding.
