PRETORIA - Electricity Minister, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says Municipalities are not investing enough in electricity distribution infrastructure.
Ramokgopa was giving an update on the implementation of the Energy Action Plan.

He says this has led to communities being subjected to no electricity for longer periods.
The Electricity Minister also said they're looking at reducing the intensity of power cuts.
This is due to a stabilised energy availability factor and reduced demand as we head into summer.
He said they've been seeing a consistent energy supply and available capacity over the past few days.
