PSIRA: Libyan military training camp illegal

JOHANNESBURG - Security Industry Regulator, Psira, has revealed the Libyan military training camp was operating illegally.

It's now served Milites Dei Security Services and its owners with suspension notices.

The regulatory body found the facility used by the 95 Libyans was a second camp.

Investigations also uncovered that some instructors were foreign nationals who were also not accredited.

The 95 Libyan nationals were arrested in a farm in White River, Mpumalanga.

They are being charged with holding visas acquired through misrepresentation.

They have made two court appearances and will appear again later this month.
