A fire that broke out in a five story building in Marshalltown early Thursday morning claiming the lives of at least 73 people so far.
Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni says national government will get involved if there is a need.
Meanwhile, an inquest will be opened into the cause of the fire.
Gauteng Police Commissioner Elias Mawela says as soon as the Emergency Services have finished their work, the site will be handed over to police for investigation.
