JOHANNESBURG - Police minister Bheki Cele has sent out his condolences, following the death of over 70 people in the Marshalltown building fire.
A total of 73 people have died in the early hours of Thursday morning at a hijacked building in the Johannesburg city centre
First responders are still on scene at the corner of Delvers and Albert street.
The cause of the fire is unclear at this stage.

Gauteng Police Commissioner Elias Mawela says as soon as the Emergency Services have finished their work, the site will be handed over to police for investigation.
At least 55 people are being treated for injuries and smoke inhalation.
The building has been evacuated.
