PRETORIA - National Police Commissioner, Fannie Masemola, is urging police not to allow criminals to bully them.
This as the SAPS commemorates men and women in blue who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Over a-hundred officers were killed on and off duty between April last year and March this year.
Masemola says police must fight back if their safety is compromised.

Police Union, Popcru, is calling for the strengthening of the Criminal Procedures Act.
It wants police to be allowed to proactively protect themselves while on duty.
Union President Thulani Ngwenya was speaking at the SAPS annual commemoration day.
