DURBAN - At least three suspected gang members have been killed in a police shootout North of Durban.
In the early hours Wednesday morning suspects were cornered by the HAWKS tracking and anti-gang unit in La Mercy where the shootout ensued.
Police say their investigation led them into La Mercy.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Jay Naicker says the group is linked to a number of crimes in the area.
