Petrol price drop in October

JOHANNESBURG - A fifth consecutive cut at the pumps for motorists.

From Wednesday, South Africans will pay between R1.06 per litre and R1.14 per litre less for petrol.

Diesel will drop by at least R1.12 per litre.

The price of paraffin is also going down by R1.11 per litre.

Gas meanwhile, has increased by 23 cents per kilogram.

The main reasons influencing this month’s decrease is the stronger rand, the decrease in the average oil price, and a reduction in tariffs due to the temporary closure of the Port of PE.
