JOHANNESBURG - Parliament has cancelled all travel arrangements and accommodation bookings for MK party members for its first sitting.
This follows the party's announcement it will be boycotting the sitting.
The uMkhonto weSizwe party wants to interdict the first sitting for what it calls many unresolved irregularities in the recent elections.
The party which obtained 58 seats maintains the elections were not free and fair.
Parliament says its decision to cancel the party's flights and accommodation is to avoid incurring fruitless and wasteful expenditure.
The parliamentary administration is currently making travel arrangements for all incoming MPs.
