JOHANNESBURG - After dissolving the NSFAS Board and placing it under administration on Friday. Higher Education Minister Blade Ndzimande has appointed a new administrator to oversee NSFAS.
Freeman Nomvalo, former head of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants has taken over the role.
The appointment was published in the Government Gazette on Thursday.
Nzimande says that the scheme failed to listen to his instructions.
This includes its refusal to implement a Werksmans report recommending the appointment of direct service providers.
And overseeing a solution to the missing middle crisis.
