One arrested for killing of e-hailing driver

JOHANNESBURG - Police have arrested one suspect in connection with the murder of an e-hailing driver in Hillbrow, in Johannesburg.

A second suspect is on the run.  

The shooting, which was captured on video, shows the robbers firing several shots at the driver.

The 26-year-old suspect was arrested at the Jabulani Hostel in Soweto.

An unlicensed firearm was also seized.

Police statistics show that the Gauteng province leads in high levels of crimes in the country.
