Nzimande withdraws Unisa administration notice

PRETORIA - Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande has withdrawn the notice to place UNISA under administration.

This follows an urgent application by Unisa’s council at the High Court in Pretoria.

The notice came months after independent assessor Professor Themba Mosia issued a scathing report into the institution's management.

The report found that Unisa was characterised by a culture of fear, intimidation and bullying following the purging and mass resignation of the council and other senior staff members.
