PRETORIA - Former National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula has been granted bail in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court.
She had appeared on Thursday at the Pretoria Magistrate's Court facing twelve charges of of corruption for allegedly receiving gratifications worth over R4.5-million.

Before her appearance in court, she was processed at Lyttelton Police Station in Centurion on Thursday morning.
Mapisa-Nqakula resigned from her position on Wednesday after facing mounting pressure over allegations against her.
The former member of parliament is expected back in court on 04 June 2024.
