Northern Joburg without water for days

JOHANNESBURG - The situation is getting more desperate for residents in parts of northern Johannesburg.

 They are yet again without water and they don't know for how long.

Johannesburg Water had scheduled maintenance for Tuesday morning, but the pipe that was to be replaced broke at the weekend.

This caught many by surprise as they had not yet stored water in preparation for the outage.

Johannesburg Water says it's not yet clear when the pipe that burst on Sunday will be replaced, and water turned back on.
