No word yet for who is criminally liable for eNyobeni deaths

EAST LONDON - No details have emerged in the inquest to determine who should be held criminally liable for the deaths of 21 young people at the Enyobeni Tavern in Scenery Park in the Eastern Cape.

Court proceedings at the Mdantsane Magistrates Court were supposed to get under way on Monday.

However, they had to be delayed due to tavern owners, Siyakhangela and Vuyokazi Ndevu's absence.

Among the witnesses asked to testify, is an expert who is expected to detail a toxicology report.

Families of the deceased young people, with the youngest just 13, say they are yet to receive copies of this report.
