JOHANNESBURG - Corruption will no longer be tolerated in the city of Johannesburg.
That's the word of the new council speaker Nobuhle Mthembu from ActionSA.
She has listed service delivery as her key priority.
New era of service delivery
Mthembu was elected the new speaker of the Joburg council on Wednesday.
She received 180 votes, defeating the DA's Nonhlanhla Sifumba who got 68.
In delivering her first speech, Mthembu says her election marks a new era of prioritising the needs of Johannesburg, and restoring the city to its former glory.
