National Assembly votes in favour Basic Education Laws Amendment Bill

JOHANNESBURG - The Basic Education Laws Amendment Bill has been voted into favour by the majority of parties in the National Assembly.

This seems to be another controversial bill that will now make its way to the President's desk.

The bill has been amended from its original form and the Governing Body Foundation recognises that while many of the amendments seek to protect rights afforded to pupils in the Constitution and supports them, its concerned about their implementation.
