JOHANNESBURG - Embattled economist Thabi Leoka has been removed from the Presidential Economic Advisory Council.
She's also resigned as a non-executive director of MTN.
In the last few days, she resigned from her position as a board member at Anglo American Platinum.
Both companies have confirmed her resignation, saying she wanted to attend to questions regarding her academic qualifications and her health.
While Leoka maintains she does have a PhD, public records only show she was awarded a master's degree in 2004.
