JOHANNESBURG -Section 194 committee chairperson Richard Dyantyi and ANC Chief Whip Pemmy Majodina have been cleared of bribery claims.
Suspended Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane alleged the pair, together with late MP Tina Joemat-Pattersson, solicited a bribe to squash the probe into her fitness to hold office.
Mkhwebane alleged the trio approached her husband David Skosana for the bribe.
Parliament's Joint Committee on Ethics dismissed this allegation, saying
Skosana's version of events to the police doesn't mention Dyantyi and Majodina.
The committee also says Whatsapp messages don't link the two to the allegation.
It also says the complaint is unfounded and that the MPs did not breach the code of ethical conduct.
