MK Party says Hlophe still best person for JSC

JOHANNESBURG - Impeached Judge John Hlophe has been temporarily barred from Judicial Service Commission activities.

The High Court made says the ban will be in place while Parliament reviews his appointment to the body.

The DA brought the application saying he could not serve on the JSC after it found him guilty of gross misconduct.

But Hlophe's MK Party maintains he is the best person to interview prospective judges.
