JOHANNESBURG - Higher Education and Training Minister Blade Nzimande has been interdicted from placing Unisa under administration.
The order was made by the High Court on Friday.
Nzimande was intending to place the learning institution under administration, as per the recommendation of an independent assessor, Professor Themba Mosia, who found financial and other maladministration at the university.
The Minister says he delayed the decision for more than a month.
But instead of responding to him, the Unisa council went about its business as if there was no pending decision to be taken.
