RUSTENBURG - The 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children campaign is held globally every year from 25 November to 10 December.
It seeks to raise awareness of gender-based violence to help rid society of this scourge.
However, its success rests solely on everyone’s daily individual and collective actions to safeguard communities against this cycle of abuse.
In Rustenburg, government and NGO stakeholders gathered to launch the South African campaign.
The consensus is more collaboration is needed to put a dent into the scourge.
