PRETORIA - In opposition to Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula's urgent bid to stop her possible arrest for alleged corruption, the National Prosecuting Authority told the high court in Pretoria that the application is misplaced and an abuse of the justice system.

Mapisa-Nqakula's legal team on the other hand says arresting people when there is no need to is an abuse of the justice system.
The speaker approached the High Court in Pretoria after finding out her arrest for alleged corruption was imminent.
She is facing charges of fraud and corruption regarding alleged military contract deals made while she served as Defence and Military Veterans Minister.
