CAPE TOWN - Three suspects linked to the shooting of a five-year-old boy in Manenberg, Western Cape, are expected to appear in court.
Ameer Abrahams was walking with his father towards a tuckshop when he was hit in the head by a stray bullet on Monday, during an apparent gang-related shooting. He died in hospital.
Two other women were also injured during the shooting.
Ameer will be laid to rest today in Manenberg.
The family has expressed grief on social media, saying that they will miss him and that he was taken from them too soon.
